Tines is an exciting and well-funded early-stage start-up, building an automation product to make security teams’ lives easier. Based in Dublin, Ireland, Tines is backed by some of the world’s most respected investors and is helping companies like Box.com, Auth0 and McKesson be more effective and efficient.
We’re hiring a product designer to help design the future of automation at Tines. You will collaborate closely with our Head of Design, Engineering and Customer Success teams to identify opportunities to continuously improve our product and delight our customers.
As an early team member you will have unparalleled influence on the product and company culture. We’re a small team based mainly in Dublin, Ireland with some remote team members. You should feel as comfortable working remotely as you would in-person.
Only applicants with portfolios will be considered.
You love design and care deeply about the quality of your work. You’re never satisfied with the status-quo.
You are experienced in creating useable and beautiful user interfaces with a portfolio that demonstrates your skillset.
You can communicate your ideas using low fidelity sketching, high fidelity prototypes or documentation where appropriate.
You are happy talking to customers, to research and validate your solution.
You are self motivated and comfortable taking initiative. You can be trusted that you’ll do what you say you will and deliver on time.
You set high standards for yourself and those around you.
You continuously look for ways to improve the experience for our customers.
You have great communication skills.
Things we ask of our product designers:
Ask plenty of questions
Software is complicated, and is often the result of conversations or decisions that were right at a particular time. Always bring your ideas, openly and safely.
Be self initiated
We empower our team to be self directed. You will not always have a list of things to do next. You should be proactive in determining where you can add value and will be trusted with substantial autonomy.
Our engineers are extremely product focused, involve them early during the design process and work closely to ship great product. Negotiate the best solution with your engineering counterparts.
Share your work early and often. Seek out feedback from stakeholders, customers and the wider product team. Present your work in updates and critiques. Filter and prioritise feedback for successful outcomes.
The interview process will be:
Interview with Jonny Belton, Head of Design
Interview with Brian Long, Head of Engineering
